This is a Spring bookmark by Lesley Teare. it’s a freebie from cross-stitching.com; you do have to register there to be able to download patterns. It’s on a bookmark form from Joann that I bought mostly because I liked the chart that came with it, but the design didn’t fit on the form. I chose to make this because I was getting burned out on the peacock that I’ve been working on and wanted something I could finish fairly quickly; also, I keep losing bookmarks.
This is the Chinese dragon from I Love Cross Stitch Dragons and Unicorns, which I picked up one day when Joann had cross-stitch books on sale. The designer is Lesley Teare. It is going to be a card for my nephew for his birthday next month. It’s mostly according to the chart; I did substitute a darker yellow because the charted yellow did not show up at all on this fabric. I chose to use 28-count fabric for this; the chart called for 14-count Aida, but there were a lot of quarter stitches.
