I had to use my phone camera this month; the camera was borrowed from my sister and my nephew is about old enough for a real camera, so I gave it back to her. I worked mostly on Teresa Wentzler’s free Knotwork Bookmark; I’ve had nothing but problems with it, but I’m determined to finish what I started:

The other reason I didn’t work much on WIPs this month was that I decided to make Christmas cards for my two sisters; I acquired a copy of the Cross Stitch Collection Christmas 2012 issue and started one of the retro Christmas cards. I’m not sure yet if I’m going to do the same one for both of them or different ones. I’m using the colors mostly as given; I wasn’t sure about the orange for the backstitched snowflakes, and so did one of them in red. I think the orange goes better than the red; I’m either going to rip out the red one and do them all in orange or have them multicolored and do the third one in pink (there’s no pink on the left side).

I worked a little on the Bokhara pillow from Tapestry and Beadwork: Canvaswork Projects for the Home by Julia Hickman.

Finally, I worked some on this Tiffany-inspired design from Art Nouveau Cross Stitch by Barbara Hammet; ideally, I’d like to finish it before starting on the Mucha chart I bought somewhat recently, but I don’t know if I’m going to finish it first.
