I’m still working on the Bokhara pillow from Tapestry and Beadwork: Canvaswork Projects for the Home by Julia Hickman; my goal was to finish everything but the blue background/pink flower areas, and I succeeded. I’m not looking forward to the blue backgrounds, though; they are more complicated than the other areas.

Instead of working on any of my other works in progress, I started two new projects. One is The Town of Halloween from the Just Cross Stitch 2012 Halloween issue; I doubt I’ll finish it by Halloween. I started working this horizontally on my larger frame, but moved it to the smaller frame when I wanted to use 28 count fabric, which was too wide for the smaller frame.

This will eventually be Teresa Wentzler’s free Knotwork Bookmark; I tried this in the past but was not entirely successful. I have two variegated floss colors with pink in them that I’m going to use for the outer parts. I thought this would go more quickly than it is going, but I should have known that would be the case.

I also bought one kit and one chart this month; I have no idea when I’ll start either one. The kit is Dimensions Birdie needlepoint:

The chart is from Scarlet Quince; it is Alphonse Mucha’s Primrose. It’s also the picture I’m using as an icon here and a few other places. I have fabric for this and am slowly acquiring the floss needed; it was too much to buy at one time.
